General Course Information

This course is a Nationally Recognised Training Package which teaches you to design, plan, organise, deliver, evaluate and review training sessions and programs. This nationally recognised qualification is mandatory for those people wishing to teach and/or assess nationally recognised training packages.
The course takes a practical approach to delivering the program and recognises that individual trainees have a wide range of applications for the certification, although they may not have been involved in training delivery.

Occupational names may include:
· Tutor
· Facilitator
· Trainer

Our experienced trainer will adapt to learners needs and requirements.

At the successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a nationally recognised qualification detailing the units competently completed.

A copy of the curriculum is located in our office. This outlines the learning outcomes, competencies to be achieved and assessment procedures.

FULL COURSE

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. If you feel your numeracy & literacy skills are not at a suitable level to undertake this course, please speak to the co-ordinators.

You will be required to attend a short interview and complete a Questionnaire to ascertain your experience, expectations and level of computer skills.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Participants can seek RPL for competencies they already have achieved. Speak to the coordinators to obtain a copy of the Centre’s brochure for full details.

Course Times

Commencing in Term 1 2009 Thursday - 6.30pm-9.30pm

Course Duration

256 hours made up of class time - evening 40 weeks (120 hours) assignment and project work additional to class time approx. - evening 115 hours.

Assessment Grading & Submission

The course assessment requires the submission of a folio of work, a short written process assignment for each module; and the delivery of two practical training sessions which include the assessment of your trainees level of competency.
The Centre provides for reassessment on appeal.

Evening - $1,610.00 total
$1,400 - Course Cost - Evening

BRIDGING COURSE

The bridging course includes mapping of previous qualifications, recognition of current skills and delivers new units added to the TAA qualification.

This program is aimed at people working in the training industry who hold the BSZ98 qualification and wish to upgrade to the new qualification.

Our experienced trainer will adapt to learners needs and requirements.

At the successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. A copy of the curriculum is located in our office. This outlines the learning outcomes, competencies to be achieved and assessment procedures.

Entry Requirements

Students must hold a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment qualification (BSZ98). Mapping of BSZ qualifications and workplace experience to the new qualifications will be carried out prior to the start of the course.

GENERAL

Fees & Charges

Are compulsory as set out in the Ministerial Guideline on Fees and Charges. This section explains the fees and charges that will apply when you enrol. It also gives details of the student’s responsibilities in relation to withdrawals, refund, fee deferment and other concessions or benefits available to students.

Additional Fees

Students may be required to pay the cost of providing goods or materials to be retained as personal property e.g. class materials/books. Some items form part of the overall fees and charges payable on enrolment.

Deferred Payment of Fees

Students may apply to pay fees by installments. Please discuss with the Centre Coordinator.

Enrolment Procedure

Please speak to the coordinators in the office for an enrolment form which is to be completed to enable enrolment. Full payment will confirm your place. An information session will be arranged prior to commencement of the course.

Refunds

The following refund policy applies:
  • A full refund will apply if Upper Beaconsfield Community Centre cancels the course.
  • A student who withdraws within four weeks of course commencement will receive a pro-rata refund of fees paid less an administration charge of $50.
  • A student who withdraws after four weeks of course commencement will not receive a refund. However, if a student is able to demonstrate hardship, they may apply for a partial refund.
  • If a student wishes to withdraw from the course, it is the responsibility of the student to withdraw from class by completing a written notification of withdrawal.
  • Any refund will be payable within seven working days, where possible.

Protection of Fees

Fees are receipted against each class, and are only accessed for payment of costs associated with that class.
